Abstract Realism

Image
Abstract realism is a form of art that falls between a  realistic depiction of the world and a non-representational abstraction. Rather than being separate and opposed, these approaches come together to strengthen each other. The artist who can make realistic images, takes that skill and creates a more abstract painting that is greater than sum of them both. Here is an example... artwork of Casey Klahn ! His work is so fresh and exciting to me. The next series of classes will focus on getting more abstract with our art. Classes will start on Friday, July 10th, 1 - 4 PM at the   Northlight Art Center. Please let me know if you would like to attend! Judy
